On a beautiful July night, my husband, daughter and I dined on the patio on at Hail Mary's and it was indeed a spiritual experience. We started off with local beers on tap and an impossibly cheesy crock of Baked French Onion Dip, with just enough flatbread chips to scrape up every bit of the oniony goodness. My daughter was craving some Southern fried chicken, and Hail Mary's answered her prayer. She dug right into a crispy, delicious Basket O Bird that hit the spot with its perfect crunch and juicy seasoning. The wing sauces on the menu were too tempting to pass up, and my husband and I sampled three varieties: Vietnamese, Jamaican Jerked, and Spicy Apricot. Each flavor was a terrific balance of heat and sweet. (Say yes to the generous helping of blue cheese and celery to cool your palate.) Whenever tater tots are the menu, we have to add them to our order, because who doesn't love tots? Especially when they're drenched in more cheese - this time of the parmesan variety. Delicious. From start to finish, our meal at Hail Mary's was heavenly, and most definitely worth the penance I'll have to pay for my (entirely worthwhile) overindulgence.
